Pack Meeting No. 5

Our next pack meeting is this Wednesday at 6:00 PM. We’re meeting in a new location at the Holy Redeemer Church, 4 Green Street, Merrimac.

Den leaders will be making uniform inspections at this meeting. The following uniform inspection sheets cover everything that your scout needs to be prepared.

Pinewood Derby

If you missed the Pinewood Derby Workshop Night, you can browse car designs and example photos on the Pinewood Derby web page. The ‘Merrimac Pack 14 Pinewood Derby Rules’ are also linked on this page. The pinewood derby dates are posted on the calendar.

Geocaching

Cub scout dens five and eight have hidden geocaches within Merrimac. You can learn about their caches at: www.geocaching.com. On the Geocaching website a free account is required to view logged cache coordinates. Once registered, search for all caches within the 01860 zip code.

Join in the fun and go on a hike to look for hidden caches or make a cache with your own den. Pick up a trail map and explore Merrimac’s open spaces. Here are a couple of recent hides to get you started. The waypoint conversions are included.

 

Den 10 Cache

Are you a Cub Scout from Pack 14 in Merrimac? Would you like the chance to enter a drawing for a great surprise at the end of the year? Find our cache, then fill out a ticket to enter the raffle. Tiger Cache
